“Going to the chapel and we’re gonnnnnna get maaaarried.”

Just over a month ago two of the founding member of the urban-evangie team got married!!! Those two people would be…me(Emily) and Jonathan. Looking forward to Thanksgiving, we are two people who have A LOT to be thankful for. I am blesed to have a Husband who loves the Lord. I am thankful that God brought me a “co-laborer;” a husband that I can work along side of, for the sake of Jesus’ glorious gospel! I am thankful that Gulio Verrelli, my sweet grandfather who is now with Jesus, saw us get married. [He passed away just three short weeks after our wedding].

“Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest.John 4:35

The time  to tell your co-worker, your Grandma, the store clerk at WalMart,  and everyone else about Jesus was yesterday!!! I know what you must be thinking…”Yesterday? Yesterday is over, guess I’m of the hook!” Right? No, wrong!  Don’t waist another minuet!!! Paul tells us  Ephesians 6:19 , to boldly proclaim the mystery of the gospel. May I be the first to admit that I have fallen short of this charge, many times.  However, the time is now! Jesus does not desire that any should perish. May we follow  HIM, and HIS commands all the days of our lives and become faithful in sharing the AMAZING NEWS that JESUS is Lord:) Read more

“Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.”-Hebrews 13:3

Last Friday Evening, we gathered at Tempe Life Church,in honor of the Persecuted Church. We met under the same circumstances that underground churches all over the world do; dim candle-lights,  hours of worshiping, reading the bible and praying. The difference was, we did not have to fear for our lives. We could serve God FREELY. Read more

Rapture Awkwardness

More than likely, if you are reading his blog post you realise it is June. Which means, you may also realise that “THE RAPTURE,” did not actually occur on May, 21. “Yeah! What was up with that whole thing, “ you may be asking yourself.

Urbanevangie & Tempe Life Church were out on Mill, the night of May 21…Shocking, I know! Now, if you’ve ever been to Mill Avenue you know it’s undeniably a “unique”  place, lol. However, Mill was in exceptionally RARE FORM, to say the least, on that evening. Some of the common phrases we heard yelled through  the streets was the frantic,” THE RAPTURE IS COMING, WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE,” the catchy” It’s the end of the world as we know it,” and the charming ” It’s the end of the world, let’s get wastedddddd!”

“I got FLASHED!”

Posted on by Urban Evangie Posted in Mill Ave, One-2-One | 2 Comments
Just admit it, we’ve all done it. Your driving (okay fine, speeding)… down the freeway when that warning sign pops up, that totally cramps your hot-rod driving style;”Photo enforcement zone ahead.” Aka, if you’d like a ticket, proceed driving 85mph. If you would not like a ticket, kindly slow down, fool! And then it happens FLASHHHHHHHHH! You’re temporarily blinded, by a photo radar flash, which causes you to almost ram into the grandpa,  doing 55 in front of you. “UGH ARE YOU KIDDING ME I JUST GOT FLASHED??!!”
